Introduction
As the cold winds of winter sweep across West Bengal, countless underprivileged families face the harsh reality of inadequate clothing and warmth. To bring comfort and kindness to those in need, AVASH Trust proudly launches its winter relief campaign, “উষ্ণ বসন 2025”, covering Bardhaman, Shaktigarh, Rasulpur and Memari.
With a vision grounded in compassion, social responsibility, and service to humanity, the Trust aims to spread warmth through the distribution of winter clothing and blankets.
🌟 Purpose of the Programme
“উষ্ণ বসন 2025” is a humanitarian initiative designed to support economically weaker and homeless individuals during the cold season.
The primary objectives include:

Providing at least 100 winter garments and blankets.

Collecting and distributing both new and usable old clothes.

Creating social awareness about compassion, charity and community service.

Motivating society—especially the youth—to come forward and help the needy.
🕯️ Occasion: Swami Vivekananda’s Birthday – National Youth Day
The event will be held on 12th January 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, celebrated nationwide as “National Youth Day”.
Swami Vivekananda’s timeless teachings on service, humanity and universal brotherhood deeply inspire this initiative.
His famous message beautifully aligns with the spirit of this programme:
“Service is religion. The essence of all religions is service to humanity. Service to mankind is the highest worship.”
This guiding principle continues to lead AVASH Trust towards meaningful social action.
🎁 What Will Be Distributed?

100+ winter clothes (sweaters, shawls, jackets, woolens)

Warm blankets

New and good-quality pre-owned clothing
The collected items will be distributed among street dwellers, daily wage earners, elderly individuals, underprivileged women and children.
