On 09 November 2025, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Burdwan observed NALSA Day 2025 through a remarkable day-long awareness programme.
The event aimed to spread legal awareness and highlight the importance of justice, equality, and human rights in modern society.
The program featured two major highlights — an Awareness Rally and a Potho Natika (Street Play) focusing on social media misuse and women trafficking awareness.

🚶♀️ Rally Glimpses: Spreading the Message of Justice
The celebration began with a vibrant Rally from the Burdwan District Court to Town Hall and back.
Participants held placards promoting legal literacy, social responsibility, and awareness about women’s safety.
Members from different organizations, law students, volunteers, and social activists joined together to raise voices for justice and legal awareness.
The rally served as a symbolic movement to strengthen the connection between law and society.

🎭 Potho Natika: “Social Media and Women Trafficking”
After the rally, an impactful Potho Natika (Street Play) was staged at Curzon Gate, titled —
“সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় পরিচয় এবং সেটি নারী পাচার চক্রান্ত পর্য্যন্ত পৌঁছায়”
(Social Media Connections Leading to Women Trafficking)
This play, presented by Sahayoddha NGO, with spontaneous participation from AVASH Trust representatives, depicted the dark side of social media exploitation.
It showcased how online friendships can sometimes lead to dangerous trafficking networks, urging society to remain vigilant and aware.
Through strong performances and realistic storytelling, the Natika left a deep impact on the audience, successfully delivering a message about digital safety and legal awareness.

🌸 Role of AVASH Trust
AVASH Trust played an active and dedicated role throughout the event —
supporting coordination, participation, and spreading awareness among the community.
The Trust reaffirmed its commitment to social justice, equality, and empowerment through education and active involvement in legal awareness programmes.
💬 “AVASH Trust believes that awareness is the foundation of justice — and justice is the path to a better society.”
⚖️ Impact and Future Vision
The event marked a significant step in bridging the gap between law and public understanding.
By blending creativity with awareness, the DLSA, AVASH Trust, and Sahayoddha NGO proved how community-based initiatives can bring real social change.
AVASH Trust plans to continue supporting such awareness drives in the future — focusing on legal education, women’s safety, digital literacy, and social welfare.
