Introduction

AVASH Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to education, empowerment, and social development, successfully organized a vibrant Drawing Competition titled “India at 100 Years” on 5th October 2025 at Kusumgram Bazar, Purba Bardhaman. The initiative aimed to encourage children, students, and youth to envision the future of India through creativity, art, and imagination.

The event marked a meaningful step towards nurturing young talent and promoting cultural awareness in rural Bengal, aligning with the Trust’s broader mission — Empowering People with Compassion and Innovation.

 

 

 

 

 

 


About the Event

The Drawing Competition was open to participants of all age groups, divided into four categories —

  • Group A: Under 10 years

  • Group B: 11–15 years

  • Group C: 16–20 years

  • Group D: Above 20 years

Participants showcased their artistic imagination of what India would look like in its 100th year of independence — from sustainable villages and advanced technology to gender equality and environmental harmony.

A total of 24 participants from nearby schools and communities joined the event, turning the day into a festival of colors, ideas, and patriotism.


Special Guest and Inspiration

The event was graced by Ms. Priyanka Mohanta Chatterjee, a remarkable young artist who has won 21 medals at national and local levels and is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. Her presence as Special Guest & Judge inspired every participant to dream big and believe in the power of art as a tool for change.

Ms. Chatterjee shared her journey and encouraged the youth to pursue their passions with dedication, reminding them that creativity is the foundation of innovation in a progressive India.


Achievements and Impact

The programme received overwhelming response and appreciation from participants, guardians, educators, and local residents. The initiative not only enhanced awareness about art education but also fostered community bonding, youth engagement, and cultural growth.
