AVASH Trust Partners with DLSA to Implement NALSA’s JAGRITI Scheme for Legal Awareness and Empowerment
In every community, particularly in rural and marginalized areas, one of the biggest barriers to justice is a simple yet powerful one — lack of awareness. Many individuals are unaware of their fundamental rights, the legal remedies available to them, or where to seek help when those rights are violated. Recognizing this gap, the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) launched the JAGRITI Scheme (Justice Awareness for Grassroots Information and Transparency Initiative) to bring legal literacy and access to justice closer to the people.
Under this transformative initiative, AVASH Trust, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), has taken a proactive step to implement the JAGRITI Scheme within local communities. This partnership aims to promote legal literacy, transparency, and empowerment, ensuring that the most vulnerable groups—especially women, children, and economically weaker sections—are informed and protected.
